Community Unites: Friends Feeding Friends
COVID-19 has created a lot of uncertainty for businesses with many having to lay off staff, alter how they operate, or shut down. During this extraordinary time we must rally around our Kingston businesses, their employees, and families.
Through the generosity of many donors a fund was created to help employers provide immediate relief to those they had to lay off or employees that had a work disruption e.g., in quarantine, caregiving for sick or children out of school/daycare (due to the COVID-19 pandemic).
The fund donated proceeds to the Partners in Mission Foodbank to facilitate the purchase of No Frills gift cards.
The fund has now completed its mandate, and all gift cards have been distributed.
